Session 1

September 24th – November 16th

 

Session 2

January 7th – February 25th

 

$65.00 per session

(Includes membership to U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills program)

 

Parent and Me  (ages 2-4)

Monday 11:15-11:45am

With mom or dad on the ice, skaters under the age of 5 will learn basic skills ranging from standing on the ice to moving forward and backward.

Snowplow Sam 1-2  (ages 4–6)

Monday, Wednesday 4:00-4:30pm

Skaters will learn basic skills ranging from standing, falling down, getting up, moving forward and backward.

Snowplow Sam 3  (ages 4–6)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 4:00-4:30pm

Skaters will learn basic skills ranging from moving forward and backward, gliding, hopping, swizzeling.

Basic 1-2   (ages 7+)

Monday, Wednesday 4:30-5:00pm, Friday-4:00-4:30pm

Skaters 7 and older will practice skills like skating forward and backward, stopping, swizzles, wiggles and one foot glides.

Basic 3-4  (ages 7+)

Monday,Wednesday,Friday  4:30-5:00pm

This class will help skaters to use their edges and begin difficult skills like forward crossovers, forward stroking, one foot turns and two foot spins.

Basic 5 and above  (ages 7+)

Friday 4:30-5:00pm

This class will help skaters develop backward skating skills such as backward stroking, backward crossovers, back one foot glides, T stops, hockey stops and beginning one foot spins.

Adult Skating  (ages 16+)

Monday 10:30-11:00am

This class will be divided by individual goals and abilities. The coach will spend an equal amount of time with each group, so skaters can work at their own pace. This class will be directed thru U.S. Figure Skating basic skills, Adult 1-4.

Home School Class  (all ages)

Monday 10:00-10:30am

This class will be divided by individuals goals and abilities. The coach will spend an equal amount of time with each group so skaters can work at their own pace.

*Pre registration is mandatory. Classes must have a minimum of three students.

**Class sizes are limited so register early to guarantee placement in class. Drop all registration forms off at the rink or parks and rec. office. Or mail to P.O. Box 158 Attn: Parks and Rec. Dept, Whitefish, MT. 59937. Please include payment. No cash, checks payable to The City of Whitefish (visa and mastercard accepted).
